About Grams To Cups

A free, ad-supported kitchen calculator built for home bakers who keep hitting recipes written in the wrong unit.

What this site does

Grams To Cups converts baking ingredient weights into cup measures and back again. Instead of a single generic formula, each ingredient has its own grams-per-cup density, so 100 g of flour and 100 g of sugar correctly give different cup amounts.

Where the numbers come from

Our densities are mid-range values compiled from standard American baking references and checked against manufacturer packaging. Each one is published openly on the density data page so you can see exactly what a result is based on.

How we keep it usable

  • Every result also shows the nearest practical cup fraction.
  • The recipe parser converts an entire ingredient list in one paste.
  • Charts are printable, so you can keep one in the kitchen.
  • No sign-up, no paywall, and the tools work offline once loaded.

Accuracy and feedback

Volume measuring is inherently approximate — packing flour differently can change a cup by 15%. For critical bakes, weigh. If you spot a density that looks wrong for your region, let us know and we will review it.
